Publication Ethics
Pelita Tech Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any form of publication malpractice. All theoretical and empirical research papers submitted to the journal undergo a rigorous double blind peer review process.
- Duties of Authors
Authors must present an accurate account of the work performed along with an objective discussion of its significance. They are required to ensure that their work is entirely original and free from any form of plagiarism, including self plagiarism, which is considered unethical and unacceptable. Authors should not submit or publish the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Proper acknowledgment of all sources and contributions from others must always be provided. - Duties of Editors
Editors evaluate manuscripts based solely on their intellectual content without discrimination related to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy. They must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information to parties other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and publisher. Editors are also prohibited from using unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts in their own research without the explicit written consent of the author. - Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers play an important role in assisting editors in making editorial decisions and in improving the quality of manuscripts. They are expected to conduct reviews objectively and avoid personal criticism of the author. If a reviewer feels unqualified to assess a manuscript or cannot complete the review in a timely manner, they should inform the editor and withdraw from the review process. All feedback must be clear, constructive, and supported by appropriate arguments. - Dealing with Unethical Behavior
Unethical behavior or misconduct may be reported to the editor and publisher at any time by any party. The editor will conduct a thorough investigation and provide the accused party with an opportunity to respond. If misconduct is confirmed, the journal may take appropriate action, including issuing a formal notice, correction, or retraction of the published article. - Plagiarism Screening
Pelita Tech Journal enforces a strict zero tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are screened using Turnitin or iThenticate before entering the review process. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20 percent or containing substantial identical text from a single source will be returned for revision or rejected immediately. - Artificial Intelligence Policy in Scientific Writing
Artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT, Jasper, or other large language models cannot be listed as authors or co authors. Authors must disclose the use of AI tools in the Materials and Methods section or in the acknowledgment section. Authors remain fully responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and originality of all content, including that assisted by AI, and must ensure that no biased or fabricated data is included. The use of AI generated images or figures must be clearly identified and must not violate copyright or manipulate original scientific data.
